Four pesticide inspectors from Beijng ICA made an undercover investigation to a pesticide trade fair in Beijing from October 30 to 31, 2012.
Such investigation followed the relevant pesticide regulation work plan of MOA and Beijing Municipal Bureau of Agriculture, and aimed at collecting first hand materials, cracking down counterfeit products, and further regulate the pesticide market in Beijing.
At the trade fair, the inspectors spotted nearly 30 manufacturing enterprises who falsely claimed that they are manufacturers in Beijing. In order to continue strengthen pesticide management in the City, the inspectors will give firm penalties to those manufacturing enterprises based on confirmed details, such as closing down those illegal manufacturing enterprises and cracking down stores marketing counterfeit pesticides.
